We had a great Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors meeting last weekend in Key West! Attorney Stephanie Cagnet Myron presented as chair for #FAWL, sharing the success of the AOC Grant funded CLE GRIT presentation and yoga session which she helped organize during our FAWL Spring Meeting in Naples!
We had a great #FAWL (Florida Association for Women Lawyers) Spring Meeting in Naples in April! We are thankful for the AOC Grant Funding we received through the Florida Bar #FlaYLD which allowed us to put together a great CLE program! The program consisted of an engaging presentation and discussion, followed by a yoga class out near the beach. We were able to provide all attendees with free yoga mats and yoga gear!
One of the biggest challenges in this area of law is informing victims that they have legal rights and option available. To address this issue, today we created several educational videos for the general public to provide information for victims of Stalking, Cyberstalking, Cyberbullying, Sexual Cyberharassment, Revenge Porn, and Sexual Violence.
We attended a great presentation, “Ceremony in the Garden,” at the Mounts Botanical Garden in Palm Beach County, where numerous victims shared their stories. The program was organized by Palm Beach County Victim Services. Several members of the Palm Beach County Anti-Stalking Collaborative were present to show their support. This was a great way to honor the victims of Palm Beach County.
Attorney Stephanie Cagnet Myron was honored to organize and participate in the Florida Bar YLD, “Balancing In Heels: GRIT Webinar,” earlier today. The webinar was an interactive discussion led by Milana Hogan, based on the American Bar Association’s GRIT Program. The Grit Program provides tools for success to female attorneys. If you were not able to attend, the webinar has been archived through the Florida Bar.
We had a great meeting today with the Palm Beach County Sexual Assault Response Team #SART! We have a team of victim advocates, nurses, and law enforcement officers here in Palm Beach County taking action to help victims of #SexualAssault and #Rape
Attorney Stephanie Cagnet Myron is the Director of the Palm Beach County Anti-Stalking Collaborative. She is creating and conducting new trainings on cyberstalking and cyberbullying for students, parents and the general public.
We had a great meeting today with the Palm Beach County Anti-Stalking Collaborative! We had members of law enforcement from throughout Palm Beach County along with victim advocates, private investigators and attorneys gathered to discuss ways to help #StalkingVictims in Palm Beach County.
Our very own Stephanie Cagnet Myron was selected by The National Trial Lawyers as “Top 40 Under 40” Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyer in Florida! She was honored to receive this recognition and proud to join this elite group.
It is inspiring to serve with so many motivated leaders throughout our state on our Florida Bar Board of Governors, Young Lawyers Division.
